Sweetwater Wind 5

Leeward Renewable Energy’s (LRE) Sweetwater 5 project is situated on 28,000 acres in Roscoe, Texas, adjacent to our Sweetwater 4 project. The project reached commercial operation in 2007. With a nameplate capacity of 81 MW, the project is comprised of 35 Siemens 2.3 MW wind turbine generators.  As the majority owner of the project, we operate and provide asset management services to the project. Our partner on the project, Duke Energy Renewables, holds a 47 percent interest. The output from the Sweetwater 5 project is sold into the ERCOT market.
