Project overview

Leeward’s Sweetwater 4 project is situated on 28,000 acres in Roscoe, Texas, adjacent to our Sweetwater 5 project. The project reached commercial operation in 2007. With a nameplate capacity of 241 MW, the project is comprised of 135 Mitsubishi Heavy Industries 1000A 1.0 MW wind turbine generators, and 46 Siemens 2.3 MW wind turbine generators.  As the majority owner of the project, we operate and provide asset management services to the project. Our partner on the project, Duke Energy Renewables, holds a 47 percent interest. CPS Energy purchases output from the Sweetwater 4 project under a long-term power purchase agreement.
