Allegheny Ridge Wind Farm

Leeward Renewable Energy’s (LRE) Allegheny Ridge project is situated on 5,000 acres near Portage, Pennsylvania, and reached commercial operation in 2007. With a nameplate capacity of 80 MW, the project is comprised of 40 Gamesa G87 2.0 MW wind turbine generators, and interconnects to Pennsylvania Electric Company’s transmission system in PJM. The output from the Allegheny Ridge project is sold into the PJM market.
