Blue Canyon Windpower

The Blue Canyon Windpower project is situated on 27,500 acres near Carnegie, Oklahoma, and reached commercial operation in 2003. With a nameplate capacity of 74 MW, the project is comprised of 45 NEG Micon wind turbine generators and interconnects to the SPP transmission system. We hold a 50 percent interest in the Blue Canyon project, with our partners EDP Renewables and Acciona holding 25 percent each. Western Farmers Electric Cooperative purchases output from the Blue Canyon project under a long-term power purchase agreement.
