Leeward Renewable Energy Names Jason Allen Chief Operating Officer

Dallas, TX – August 1, 2017 – Leeward Renewable Energy, LLC (“Leeward”), an affiliate of ArcLight Capital Partners, LLC (“ArcLight”), today announced the appointment of Jason Allen as Chief Operating Officer. Allen will be responsible for operating and optimizing Leeward’s 1.5 gigawatt existing wind fleet as well as operating future portfolio additions.

Allen has over 25 years of leadership experience overseeing wind, solar, hydro, natural gas, coal, and battery storage power generation fleets. Most recently, Allen served as Vice President of Operations – Power at AltaGas Ltd where his responsibilities included overseeing the North American renewable generation operations. Prior to that, Allen worked at Duke Energy Corporation for over 20 years, serving as Vice President, Fossil Hydro Operations Carolinas West, Vice President Duke Energy Renewable Operations, and numerous other senior level positions.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
